Over the past two months, some of the property owners in Dubai have increased the asking price for many of their properties. Some areas have even seen an appreciation of up to 30 percent in just the past few weeks.

The Dubai Marina, The Greens, and the Burj Dubai property values have been steadily increasing each week and the number of enquiries has increased as well. More and more real estate companies are now seeing an increase in people who actually want to see an apartment, rather than just calling to ask questions.

After prices bottomed out at the end of 2008 and through most of the first half of 2009, many people believe that worst is now over. Now the rising prices are catching would-be buyers off guard as they were waiting for prices to decline even more. Cash buyers are still able to secure many properties below the market value, especially if the property is owned outright and not by a bank or mortgage company.

Only the next few months will tell if the increase in property values in the Dubai Marina and other areas will continue.
